Mango Habanero Wings

Mango Habanero Wings

Whether you’re watching the Superbowl or True Detective this Sunday, I’ve got the perfect (and easiest) meal for you! It seriously has 2 ingredients & it’s budget friendly, so you could technically feed the whole block for cheap if you really wanted!

I made these drumsticks & wings both in the oven and air fryer! If you haven’t noticed via Instagram, I LOVE my air fryer. I’m absolutely no pro, but I am having so much fun experimenting with it!

Okay, back to the wings. I technically bought drumsticks and then wings— but not like miniature ones you get from BWWs. For some reason I don’t think I have ever realized that those wings are just the chicken wings cut in half— OOPS!

So for this recipe, I used a mix of chicken drumsticks and wings sprinkled with the mango habanero wing seasoning from Wal Mart. EASY PEASY!

I have seen this at Wal Mart over and over again for the past year.

Mango Habanero Wings

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs of chicken (mix of wings & drumsticks)

  • 1 packet Great Value Mango Habanero Wing Seasoning

  • Cilantro, optional for garnishing

Preparation

  • Pat chicken dry with a paper towel and add to a large bowl

  • Add seasoning packet to chicken, mix making sure chicken is evenly coated- cover and let marinade for at least 30 minutes

  • Air Fryer Method

    • Preheat Air Fryer to 390F for 3 minutes

    • Add chicken to the basket, I stood my drumsticks up to make more room

    • Spray with olive oil

    • Cook for 20-22 minutes, shaking/flipping halfway through and giving it another spray of olive oil

  • Oven Method

    • Preheat oven to 425F

    • Place chicken on parchment lined pan

    • Bake for 20-22 minutes

    • Turn oven to broil- cook for 1 minute then flip and cook for 2 minutes

  • Sprinkle with chopped cilantro

  • The internal temperature of your chicken should be 165F when done

  • These wings pair great with cilantro ranch (I used the one from Trader Joe’s) and my sweet potato fries
