    Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

    Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Hi & welcome! Today I am sharing my favorite chocolate cake recipe. It is my go to dessert recipe, especially around Christmas time.

I know technically it is a bundt cake recipe, but you can bake it in any pan you wish. I made it into cupcakes with vanilla peppermint butter cream icing on Friday and everyone loved the combination! I also bought a Christmas Tree pan that is perfect for a Christmas party dessert.

I also love gifting these cakes on a festive plate wrapped in cellophane with a cute gift tag.

    Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

    Ingredients

    • 1 box yellow cake mix

    • 1 small package of chocolate pudding mix

    • ½ cup vegetable oil

    • ½ cup water

    • 3 eggs

    • 1 cup sour cream

    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

    Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 350F

    2. Combine ingredients one by one to a large bowl beating well after each addition, save chocolate chips for last and stir with a spoon to combine

    3. Pour batter into a greased bundt pan (or pan of choice) and bake for 40 minutes- 1 hour until cake is cooked through.

    4. Optional: sift powdered sugar over the top of the cake to add a layer of fresh “snow”

This recipe was found in the Junior League of Lafayette cookbook, Something to Talk About.
