Dining Out: Antoni's Italian Cafe
The other night, I got home late and did not have the energy to cook. I also was craving/needing a big bowl of comfort food. One of my favorite comfort foods is pasta & I love veal parmesan.
After throwing out a few suggestions, we decided on Antoni’s Italian Café in the Oil Center. There was a good crowd for a Tuesday night, but we were okay without having a reservation.
We started with a glass of Decoy Cabernet & bruschetta. You can do a bruschetta trio, but we decided on the Pomodora. It included diced tomatoes, roasted garlic, and basil drizzled with garlic infused olive oil.
For our main course we had a battle of the parmesans. I ordered Veal, Petey ordered Chicken. You have a choice or the House or Caesar salad when ordering pasta. We were both very satisfied with our dishes. The pasta was cooked perfectly & I loved the slices of Roma tomatoes baked into the dish.
If I could make one critique it would be that I could have used a tad more sauce to pasta ratio, but this did not keep me from cleaning my plate. Although we did not order pizza this night, I will note that the Chicken Bonaparte pizza is delicious. Overall, I recommend Antoni’s for a nice romantic date night or a place to sit outside and grab lunch on a pretty day.

Until next time….
