Dining Out: Broaddus Burgers
Hey hey! It’s been a while since I’ve put the spotlight on eating out in Lafayette. We grabbed lunch at Broaddus Burgers last week and here is what we thought.
Broaddus Burgers is located on Kaliste Saloom in between Pinhook & Hwy 90. You walk in, grab a menu, and order at the counter.
The menu is rather large & includes way more than burgers. They also have daily specials and it happened to be loaded fry day.
We ordered the loaded fries. You can pick 4 toppings and I chose cheddar & pepper-jack cheese, bacon, & ranch. I feel like I was pretty basic, but I was a little overwhelmed with all the choices! I could have gone crazy and picked something like mac & cheese, chili, and even a fried egg. I’ll be better prepared next time! Regardless, my basic choice tasted great.
On the menu they have specialty burgers & build your own burgers. I went with the Mushroom Swiss specialty burger. Petey built his own: white bun, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, Cajun mayo, lettuce, tomato, & mustard.
We thought the burgers weren’t overly huge (good thing) and filled us up! The patty was also seasoned perfectly. The bun wasn’t anything special, but Petey pointed out (after I ordered) that I could have upgraded my bun. They had options such as a sweet bun, ciabatta, and jalapeño cheddar!!
Final thoughts: we will be back & I’ll upgrade my bun!
Have you tried the burgers here? If so let me know your favorite! Don’t forget to follow along over on Instagram @thevintagefork . Until next time!
Happy Eating- Liz
